A Bloomer

bloomer

This orchid, I think it’s kind of Dendrobium, is the only plant at our house. We used to have some foliage plants, but we stopped having them because our cat bit leaves when she was a kitten. Some of them were bad for the health of cats, and scolding her was very stressful for us.

It was undesirable for me to have it: an undesirable person brought it as a token of one’s apology. I didn’t want a present, let alone something that needs to be looked after. However, the orchid was innocent, so I’ve watered it every week in the past year or so.

Even though I offer minimal care, the dear little plant produces flowers!
The person still bothers me, but I suddenly feel motivated to take care of it.
